Quickstart
Install Qnbot CLI with one command or hand the official install task to an AI coding assistant, then verify the result.
Quickstart
Install
Install with one command
Use the stable entry points. The bootstrap detects the operating system and CPU architecture, then hands over to the official installer, which resolves the current release from the official OTA, verifies it, and installs it into the current user account. The commands are not tied to a version or date, so publishing a release never changes this page.
macOS or Linux:
curl -fsSL https://get.qnbot.com/cli | shWindows PowerShell:
irm https://get.qnbot.com/cli.ps1 | iexHand the install to an AI coding assistant
Copy the task below into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or another assistant with terminal access. It detects the platform, uses the official entry point, configures PATH, and verifies the version.
Install Qnbot CLI 0.2.0 for me and follow these requirements exactly:
1. Detect the current operating system and CPU architecture, then select only the matching official file.
2. The supported targets are Linux x86_64, Linux ARM64, macOS ARM64, and Windows x86_64. Stop and explain if this platform is unsupported.
3. Install through the official stable entry points. The bootstrap detects the platform and hands over to the official installer, which resolves the current release, verifies it, and installs it into a user-writable directory; do not use administrator privileges without my approval.
4. Add the installation directory to PATH if necessary without overwriting the existing PATH configuration.
5. Run qnbot --version after installation and report the installed path and version.
6. Use only the following official stable entry points, with no third-party mirrors.
Official stable entry points:
Linux / macOS: https://get.qnbot.com/cli
Windows PowerShell: https://get.qnbot.com/cli.ps1Download by platform
On an isolated network or behind a restrictive proxy, download the qnbot file that exactly matches this device. Each link resolves per request to the currently published OTA artifact for that platform, with no version or date baked in and no expiring URL.
| Platform | Download | Manual install location |
|---|---|---|
| Linux x86_64 | Download | ~/.local/bin/qnbot |
| Linux ARM64 | Download | ~/.local/bin/qnbot |
| macOS Apple Silicon (ARM64) | Download | ~/.local/bin/qnbot |
| Windows x86_64 | Download | %LOCALAPPDATA%\QnBot\bin\qnbot.exe |
Install manually
macOS or Linux:
mkdir -p ~/.local/bin
install -m 755 ./qnbot ~/.local/bin/qnbot
~/.local/bin/qnbot --versionWindows PowerShell:
$target = Join-Path $env:LOCALAPPDATA "QnBot\bin"
New-Item -ItemType Directory -Force -Path $target | Out-Null
Copy-Item .\qnbot.exe (Join-Path $target "qnbot.exe")
& (Join-Path $target "qnbot.exe") --versionAdd the matching directory to PATH if you want to run qnbot directly.
Verify & next steps
Verify the installation
The installer prints the installation path and version. If the terminal cannot find qnbot, update PATH as the installer instructs, open a new terminal, and run:
qnbot --versionNext steps
